How do I create a contour set for the results of a unary or binary grid operation?

Description:
After performing a unary or binary grid operation there is only the choice to save the grid set under Gridding > Save As. How do I create a contour set for the resultant grid?


Solution:
After you have completed your unary or binary grid operation, Ex. Grid1 - Grid2: 1. Go to Gridding > Save As a. Enter a name for the resultant grid b. Select a horizon to attach the grid to c. Click OK 2. Select Gridding > Clear Temporary Model to clear the basemap 3. Post the new grid on the basemap: a. Post > Interpretation b. Highlight the radio button next to Grids/Contours c. Click on the Select button d. Select the Surface and Resultant grid from the top menu boxes e. Set spectrum data switch to Grids f. Click OK twice 4. Go to Gridding > Input data a. Highlight Grids under Input data types b. Highlight Horizon under Input Feature c. Highlight Vertical_Time_Thickness (for Grid1 - Grid2 operation) under Available Z types d. Select OK e. Set parameters accordingly in the Contour Parameters menu f. Click OK and your contours will display on the Basemap 5. Select Gridding > Save As a. Provide a name for the contour set b. Select OK
