Topic:
How to 'cut out' 3D seismic already loaded.
Description:
You can either use DataManager > Seismic > Copy and use the 'null' option to null out the area of seismic you do not want to see (nulls out data permenately) or use the 'copy' option below.
Solution:
This does not limit data that has been already loaded but is a method to cut out the data and then reload it in smaller portions. 1.) Use seismic copy with an areal path, which can be defined on Basemap, to limit the volume and create a new class of data within the survey. 2.) The new class of data will have null traces in area that was not copied. 3.) If you export it to SEGY, it will write out a file of all live traces only. 4.) Reload to a different survey.
