How to make and use an Input Data Boundary for gridding.
Solution:
To make an Input Data Boundary:
1.) In Basemap > Define > Boundaries > Modeling Input Data Boundary
2.) Click on Mouse Button 1 (MB1) the points to make the
Modeling Input Data Boundary polygon.
3.) When the polygon is defined, click on Mouse Button 3 (MB3)
> Break, to close the polygon.
4.) Then click MB3 > Save and type a name and a description.
To use an Input Data Boundary while gridding:
1.) Post Interpretation to grid
2.) Post the Input Data Boundary if it isn't already posted :
Post > Boundaries > click on the button next to
"Post modeling input data boundaries" and select
the boundary from the box below and click OK.
3.) In Gridding > Input Data > Select the input data type,
feature, available Z type, and under Modeling contraints
select Input data boundaries and click OK.
4.) Set the grid and contour paramaters as needed and click
OK to grid.
