How to Project Convert an IES project to IESX.

Solution:
IES Project Preparation.  

 1.) Run fixdb on the IES project.  
     Data Management> Execute management Utilities > Execute OS Commands
     in a subprocess.      
     At the UNIX prompt type: 
      > cd $TOOLS
      > fixdb.  

     Run each of the 5 options in order.  Answer "yes" if asked to delete an
     item.


 2.) In IES Data Management recover the inventory. 
     IES Data Management > ADD Data to project > Add Data in IES format >
     Recover PROJECT.
		1 - Rebuild inventory:			YES
		2 - Confirm recovery:			NO
		3 - Disposition of old inventory	RENAME
		4 - Restore LDB files			REBUILD
		5 - Restore MAPLOC files		REBUILD
    
    Then EXIT, EXIT, EXIT.  The process will run. 

 3.) Update special characters in well names( *, #, &, + ...) and replace
     with a dash (-) or underbar (_).
     Data Management > Update data in project > Update Inventory Descriptions >
     Well Log data.


IESX Project creation.

 4.) In IESX, create a new project to convert the IES project into.
     Session Manager > Project > Create.

Project Conversion.

 5.) Select the Project Converter application.
     Session Manager > Application > Project Converter.

 6.) Copy over MAPVIEW and WELL DATA from IES to IESX.
