Check well and marker names for unusual characters. -Special characters (&, $, #) will have difficulites upgrading. -Characters which will upgrade '-' and '_'. 5.) Do an inventory rebuild on the well data base in IES Data Management. -Session Manager > Application > IES Data Management > Add data to project > Add data in IES Format > Create a New Project Inventory Set control parameters to: 1 yes 2 no 3 RENAME 4 REBUILD 5 REBUILD Exit control parameters menu. Exit through the Project Directories menu. Wait until the rebuild is done then exit out of IES Data Management. 6.) Exit the 9px project. 7.) Select upgrade_9px_to_10px.csh from IESX Application Selection menu. Start. Type in project name to upgrade. 8. Once the project has successfully upgraded into IESX 10px, do a second Inventory Rebuild on 10px project (repeat step 5). If the upgrade fails attempting to upgrade the map files, delete all basemap files, (map content, map appearance and map picture) in DataManager > Map > Delete and then regenerate basemaps in the 10px project. After upgrade, KB must be updated for each well. All well logs in the project will be labeled as MD unless previously corrected to TVD with the LPView software. Update to TVD in DataManager > Wells > Time/Depth > Depth Index. Any MD logs used will be corrected to TVD by the well's deviation survey in applications in which log data are available. Tops need to be imported from the IES database using DataManager > Wells > Markers > Import from IES. If wells are not brought over in the upgrade, use Geoshare to move wells from 9px to 10px.
