How to SEGY export a time range of seismic data.
Description:
Solution:
SEGY export cannot control range of time for output.
1.) Geoshare to another project or a rp66 file and limit the time range.
2.) To export time windowed SEGY from IESX DataManager, a class of data
with the required time window needs to exist in the project.
For 2D data, the seismic will need to be reloaded from SEGY.
For 3D data, a complete reload of the seismic from SEGY is not required if the
data to be exported has the same time of first sample (TFS) as the existing
class.
a.) Load some dummy seismic (It will be overwritten later) to the same survey
but a new class for the required time window, e.g. 0.0 - 1.5 secs.
b.) Datamanger > Seismic > Copy
c.) Select Survey and existing input class.
d.) Select newly created output class (limited time window).
e.) Generate.
The 'Copy' option will take the TFS of the input class but not the number of
samples of the output class, hence this option is only useful when the TFS of
the output is the same as the TFS of the input.
If the time window of the data to be exported does not have the same TFS as the
existing class, the required time window will need to be reloaded from SEGY.
The time windowed data can be loaded to the same survey but to a new class.
