How to display variable intensity seismic on my synthetic.

Solution:
In the synthetics menu, click Define > Display spec.
At the top left of the menu, set the 'Display style' toggle to 'VI' and click 
the 'Update' then the 'Ok' buttons at the bottom of the menu.  The synthetic 
menu will redisplay with the seiemic in variable intensity.
