How to create an isochron map in Seis3DV/2DV.
Description:
Solution:
1.) In Seis3DV/2DV post the two horizons that you wish to use to make an
isochron map.
2.) In Areal > Extract run an amplitude extract on both horizons.
3.) In Areal > Isochron Map
a.) Select rectangular path for operation (i.e. Use 3D survey limits
as rectangular path).
b.) Select path name/survey name.
c.) Select the lower horizon as 'Reference horizon', and upper horizon
as 'Other horizon'.
d.) Select seismic class.
e.) Select compute option of either Delta time or Delta amplitude.
Note: This will output an attribute for the reference horizon of either DTIME
for Delta time, or DAMP for Delta amplitude.
4.) Open Basemap and post the reference horizon using the DTIME or DAMP
attribute.
Note: If computing Delta time, you do not need to do step 2.
