Topic:
How to reverse polarity on IESX seismic data.
Description:
Solution:
You need to do a phase rotation on the seismic data as follows:
1) Check to make sure you have sufficient amount of disk space for the new
seismic data in Session Manager > Project > Update. If you need more disk
space, please refer to:
Product: IESX
Version: 10.2
Application: DataManager
SearchType: HowTo
Synopsis: How to add disk space when DSL's are full.
Suggestion: Create the new data in a master project instead of an interpretation
project, so if another user wants to use this data, it will reside in the same
project as the original seismic. Also, makes backing up projects more
manageable.
2) IESX Session manager > Application > Computation Manager - SeisAn
3) Select Phase Rotation, displays "enter phase rotation in degree",
input 180.00 and select OK.
4) Now you are back at the "ComputationManager" window. Click the "Survey"
button at the top, now the 'Survey' window comes up. Here you will select
the survey containing the seismc, under 'Input class' select the class the
data is in. Under "Attribute volume", enter a new class name and
description (optional). Select OK, and it will input the class name in
the "Output class" list, select OK again and you are back at the
"ComputationManager" window.
5) You should see under "Selected operations", "Phase Rotation" and nothing
else. If you see other processes, delete them. If you don't delete them,
when you press the start button, Computation Manager will do all processes
in that list. Select "Start" to begin process.
NOTE: Remember, you always have the original class of data if you need to go
back to it. If everything looks fine, you might want to delete the original
class of data to save disk space.
