Topic:
How to have IESX remarks appear rather than the date in the seismic catalog.
Description:
If you want to have the IESX Remarks (from the Seismic Catalog and IESX Session Manager) show in the list of IESX sessions, rather than the date, follow the steps below. Be aware that this name will also show in the General Data Manager, under IESX, rather than the date, which is the default.
Solution:
1. Bring up the General Data Manager 2. Click on the "Crystal ball", the Query tool will appear. 3. In the list at the top, find Module_Run and double click on it. This will bring up the IESX module(s) as a child of Interpretation in the flow chart. 4. Double click on any of the IESX "boxes" in the chart, this will bring up the General Attributes Editor for IESX. 5. In the General Attributes Editor, select Attributes ... 6. Here (labelled Module_Run Attributes) select Display_Name_Format. Click on the 'OK' button. 7. Back in the General Attribute Editor, between the "" in the Remarks field, enter in the desired name for the saved session. 8. Back in the General Attributes Editor, in the item Display name format, replace Modify_Date with Remarks. Press OK. The Remarks will show in the General Data Manager. 9. Press OK in the Query tool. 10. In the Seismic catalog the Remarks will appear in the IESX sessions listing instead of the date. This is a useful way of keeping track of multiple saved sessions. Note: When making the change in the 'Display_Name_Format' attribute, it is for all saved sessions. Therefore, when saving a new session, rather than the 'Modify_Date' listing in the Seismic Catalog, the word 'Complete' would list. It is best to name your saved session after exiting out of IESX.
