How to merge horizon attributes into one attribute
Description:
How to merge one or more horizon attributes into one single attribute
to post in Basemap.
Example of usage: You have two surveys with different classes and the same
horizon has been interpreted on both surveys but the attributes have different
names for each survey. You want to be able to display the attribute from both
surveys at the same time on basemap which you cannot do if the attribute names
are different. These can be merged into one attribute as long as the units are
the same.
Solution:
1) In Data Manager > Interpretation > Attributes > Select Domain (time or
depth), select the surveys (and lines if 2D), and input horizon.
2) Once the input horizon is chosen, the list of attributes will display in the
"Input attributes" box. Highlight the attributes that you wish to merge and
click on either Top or Bottom to put them in the "Ordered attributes" box.
- The ordered attribute list is searched from the bottom to the top. Data
that is not null replaces any preceding data.
3) After the attributes have been chosen, type in a new attribute name and click
Merge. This will merge the chosen attributes into one new attribute that can
be posted in Basemap.
