How to flatten a 2D line and export to SEGY.
Description:
Solution:
1.) Export the 2D line through IESX Datamanager > Seismic > SEGY Export.
2.) Load this 2D line as a 3D volume. You can load this into an existing 3D
survey if you are not worried about nav (The survey extents will expand
to fit the newly loaded line. Once you delete this line/class out of 3D
survey, the extents will return to normal.). Define a new class to load this
line into. You will setup the define storage window to have an inline range
from 1 to 1 (or whatever line number) and cdp range set to the trace range of
your 2D line. (You can get this information about the line through IESX
SeisDV > Display > Seismic line. Once you select your seismic line it gives
you the SP and CDP range in the upper right corner of the menu.)
3.) Interpret a horizon on the new 3D line/class.
4.) Datamanager > Seismic > Flatten this class of data around the interpreted
horizon. Be sure to set your time window appropriately to capture the entire
time range.
5.) Datamanager > Seismic > Change class to change the class name. (IESX will
not let you export a flattened volume so this is a workaround.)
6.) Datamanager > Seismic > Segy export the new class of data.
