How to convert a horizon grid to fault segments and fault grid to horizon picks.

Description:

Solution:
Horizon grid to fault segments: 1) Horizon grid is saved and displayed on the seismic section. 2) The Fault, for which the fault segments are to be created, is set as active. 3) The button for Fault is selected for interpreting. 4) Click on the grid with MB3, in the pop up menu select "grid copy". 5) A fault segment with several nodes is generated based on the grid. 6) The segment is along the displayed line only. Fault grid to horizon picks: 1) Fault grid is saved and displayed on the seismic section. 2) The horizon, for which the picks are to be created, is set as active. 3) The button for horizon is selected for interpreting. 4) Click on the grid with MB3, in the pop up menu select "grid copy". 5) Horizon picks generated based on the grid. 6) The picks are along the displayed line only. Note: This method can be used to convert horizon grids to a different horizon (picks) on a line by line basis. IESX_Datamanager => Interpretation => Surface will do this for the entire survey but is limited to the same surface (i.e. the same horizon).
