How to save customized user layers.

Description:
I have changed the display colors of items on my user layers but every time I
come back to the map the colors have reset to the defaults.  How do I save the
customized user layer settings?

Solution:
To save the customized settings, you will need to save the map:

File -> Save - to save the current map in its customized settings

OR

File -> Save as - to create a new map with the customized settings
