How to select a specific curve to be displayed for a curve type in Seismic.
Description:
I have several curves of one type (i.e. GR), how do I set a certain curve
to be displayed other than the default one?
Solution:
You can set a specific curve to be displayed for a curve type in Seismic by
setting it as a preferred log curve. This is done by making a user collection
called PREFERRED_LOGS. Go to the Application Manager -> Data -> General Data
Manager -> File -> User Collections or in General Data Manager click on the
User Collections Icon (4th icon from the bottom). Click on Create and when the
Collection Editor box pops up, put in the Name box PREFERRED_LOGS then use
the query tool to select the log curves that you wish to set preferred.
This log will then be the preferred curve that will be displayed on the
borehole when you choose that type.
Usage Guideline:
1. The log curve collection must be named PREFERRED_LOGS.
2. The log curve collection must belong to the borehole of interest.
3. If there is more than one log curve collection for the same class (type
of log, i.e. GR), the last collection created will be selected.
