Solution:
To save a Synthetic:
In Synthetics > File > Save, type in name for the synthetic.
To post a synthetic on Seis%DV:
In Seis%DV > Define > Borehole appearance > Vertical > Synthetic options...,
toggle 'Display synthetics' to On, synthetic location to Both, and select which
of the saved synthetics is to be displayed.
To shift synthetics:
In Seis%DV > Tools > Synthetic..., click MB1 on the synthetic to make it active.
At this point the synthetic is attached to your cursor so you can move it
around. To anchor it, click MB1 again. Or you can use the Synthetic placement
menu to shift the synthetic left/right/up/down by clicking MB1 on the synthetic
to make it active and then click on the arrow keys to move the synthetic
accordingly.
