How to post Surface Penetrations on an amplitude map.

Description:

Solution:
1. Post the Z-value of the horizon, and select a Borehole Appearance set that displays Top, Bottom and Deviation on BaseMap. 2. Tools > Surface Penetrations > Toggle 'On' Post Penetrations and Post Value. Under the Marker Surfaces area, select the required horizon and borehole sets. Click Apply to post the penetrations then Save and OK to close. (Penetrations are written to the database as markers when 'Save' is selected) 3. Post > Interpretation > Horizon, and select the amplitude attribute. 4. Post > Markers, and select the markers for that surface name. Make sure that under 'Label Type and Placement' in the Appearance tab, that 'Marker Value' is active. Note: The penetration values will be in 'Z' and the map spectrum in amplitude.
