Topic:
How to select preferred log curve to post on seismic.
Description:
The Seis3DV/2DV window only posts the most recent log curve in database when there are multiple log curves with the same code.
Solution:
Option 1. Change one of the duplicate codes to a different code. This would also allow two of the same code log curves to be posted at the same time. Ex. Change DT -> DTC or DTL. See the following knowledge base entry. Product: IESX Application: Seis3DV/2DV Version: GeoFrame 3.7 SearchType: HowTo Synopsis: How to post log curves with duplicate codes at the same time Seis3DV/2DV. Option 2. Create a PREFERRED_LOGS collection. Usage guidelines: The log curve collection must be named PREFERRED_LOGS (allcaps, underscore). The log curve collection must belong to the borehole of interest. A borehole may contain multiple PREFERRED_LOGS collections. If there is a duplicate code among the collections, the last collection created will be used. 1) Application Manager -> Data -> Log Curves. 2) Display the log curves for ONE borehole in the Project Log Curve Data Manager window. 3) Select the "Data Items Collections" icon. This is the third icon from the right with a smile face and small bag. 4) In the User Data Item Collections dialog box, click on Create. This opens the collection editor. 5) In the Collection Editor, set the name to PREFERRED_LOGS. 6) Open the ITC doors on both the Log Curve Manager and the Collection Editor. For the Collection Editor, the ITC door is in the upper middle right side. 7) Select the log curves wanted. They will automatically move to the Collection Editor. 8) Select OK when finished.
