Topic:
How to post different amplitude attributes in different surveys at the same time.

Description:
My project has two surveys. The same type (processing flow) of seismic was loaded to each but with a different class name in each survey. In addition, the water bottom was picked on a different horizon name in each survey. How can I post the extracted amplitudes in both surveys at the same time?

Solution:
Refer to the surveys (surv1, surv2), the classes (class1, class2) and horizons (wb1, wb2) so that, surv1 has only class1, wb1 and surv2 has only class2, wb2. 1- Interpret a couple of traces in surv1 on the horizon wb2 (gives the attribute AMPL_class1 on horizon wb2). 2- Go to the IESX Data Manager->Interpretation->Attributes... 3- Select surv2, wb2, AMPL_class2 and AMPL_class1 for input. 4- Select the wb2 horizon AMPL_class1 for output. 5- Click Merge. This procedure copies the wb2 horizon AMPL_class2 amplitude attribute extracted from class2 in surv2 to the wb2 horizon AMPL_class1 amplitude attribute. The trick here is to create the AMPL_class1 amplitude attribute on the horizon wb2 prior to merging. Now both the wb1 and wb2 horizons have the AMPL_class1 attribute name that can be posted.
