Topic:
How to make a smaller grid out of a larger grid.
Description:
The grid covers a regional area too large. The grid is difficult to manage. The grid size is huge. Want manageable grids over specific areas.
Solution:
Edit a clipping surface boundary over the area where you want the smaller grid. Generate contours within the clipping surface boundary using the grid as the input data type and the clipping surface boundary as the modeling constraint. Save the contour set. Turn off the grid and only post the contours. Generate a grid using the posted contours as the input data type. Select the same clipping surface boundary for the modeling constraints. Generate and save the new grid.
