Topic:
Assign a containing borehole to markers for a borehole chosen from BasemapPlus.

Description:
When adding markers to a borehole for the first time the following message may be received: "Marker Must have a Containing Borehole". Apply or OK does not automatically assign the selected borehole to the markers.

Solution:
You must assign a borehole to new markers when they are first added to a project. The borehole is assigned by using the "Select All" and "Borehole" icons. 1) Select the borehole from the Basemap by placing the cursor on the borehole and clicking mouse button 1 (MB1) twice. 2) Select "Markers" from the Borehole Editor window. 3) Add the number of lines needed for the new markers to be added. 4) Type in the Marker Name and a depth (MD, TVD, TVDSS, or TWT). 5) Use the "Select All" icon (second from right in the Marker Information section of the Project Marker Data Manager window) to highlight all markers. More than one marker (but not all markers) can be selected by using the control key and MB1. 6) Use the "Borehole" icon (third from the left) to select the borehole that will contain the markers. (This icon becomes active when a new marker is added to a borehole.) Choose the current borehole and click . 7) Click or in the Project Marker Data Manager window to make the changes to the borehole. The selected borehole does not populate the "Borehole Name" box when markers are loaded for the first time in a project. Once a marker has been added to a project and has the borehole name in place, the "Borehole Name" box will be populated automatically in other boreholes when the new marker is added to them and or is clicked. These steps must be followed when adding new (or replacing old) markers to a borehole that has had all its markers deleted. The "Borehole Name" box will not be populated automatically when or is clicked. See entries Adding Markers to a Borehole in GeoFrame 3.1 and How to Assign a Marker to a Horizon.
