How to move 2D lines from one survey to another

Description:
You may want to move lines between surveys or split one large 2D survey into several smaller surveys for any number of reasons.

Solution:
In IESX Datamanager select Seismic > 2D surveys. - In the 2D survey management window highlight the survey that has the lines to be moved. The 2D lines under that survey are displayed in the 2D lines box. - Select the specific lines to move (you can select multiple lines at a time) - In the other box under 2D survey highlight the target survey. - All lines within that survey will show up in the other 2D lines box. - Click on the move arrow in the direction towards the target survey. - The newly moved lines will be added to the target survey list of lines. Creating a 2D survey is useful when you want to regroup some of the existing lines in a project into a new survey. You can create the 2D survey, then move selected lines from the existing 2D surveys into this newly created survey. Click on Create 2D survey, type in a survey name in the Create 2D survey box. WARNING: Be careful if you move shared 2D lines from one survey to another. If for any reason you unshare and reshare from the master project, the lines will not share back properely. You will receive some lines with interpretation only but no seismic and lines with seismic but no interpretation. 2D Survey application moves the navigation and interpretation along with the 2D line. If this has happened, you need to unshare effected 2D lines or surveys, move all the lines that were moved to other surveys back to the orignal surveys that they occupied, and reshare
