How to create markers from surface penetrations from a grid, horizon or fault.
Description:
Solution:
1.) Post your grid, horizon or fault on basemap.
2.) Post Surface Penetrations on basemap by selecting Tools > Surface
Penetrations. The penetration of the borehole with the horizon, fault or
gridded surface (Z) is posted as symbols along the borehole path.
3.) Click on Save.
The Surface Penetration values are written to the marker database. The
markers are saved under the same surface as the horizon, fault or grid that
was used to calculate the Surface Penetration values. The markers are
associated with the respective boreholes used to generate the Surface
Penetration values.
You can view these markers under the Marker Datamanager. The marker type is
assigned based on the surface type. Example: horizon penetrations are saved
as Strat Markers
