Topic:
How to post multiple borehole synthetics on a seismic section.
Description:
Users sometimes wants to view lots of borehole synthetics on single seismic
section to get the whole idea of well-seismic tie for target reservior
reflection characteristics.
Solution:
There are two way to obtain it in IESX:
either:
1) In Synthetics window, save borehole A and B's synthetic as same name, for
example, Analytical_Ric_30 or Extracted_1000_3000ms etc...
2) In Define > Borehole > Vertical Appearance, pick the saved synthetics.
3) Define borehole set with boreholes a and B in.
4) Post > Boreholes
or:
1) Save synthetics in diffrent name for A and B, like most users do.
2) Define multiple Borehole Vertical Appearances according to number of
syntheics to post.
3) Define Borehole Set and post it with a number of Borehole Vertical
Appearances.
The shortcoming of this method is that if you have a large number of boreholes
to work with you will have lots of different Borehole Vertical Appearance's in
your list and so lower your efficiency.
