1. The "Andes Volcano Undershooting Proposal" (AVUE), submitted to the Continental
Dynamics division of NSF for its June 1, 1997 RFP has been sent to NSF.

2. Prof. Enrique Triep (Univ. Nat. San Juan, Argentina) and Prof. Emillio Vera
(Chile U., Santiago) are our two international participants.  Both are LDEO
Ph.D.'s and are very eager to participate.  By all means communicate with them.
But I would like to continue to be the main point of 'official' contact, so that
they will not get any mixed signals.

3. I have submitted an Instrument Request Form to IRIS.  This merely alerts them
to our intentions.  Nothing will happen until we get some money.

4. As I mentioned previously, I have set up an AVUE web page:
