12:30 PM, Spring 1, Gaylordsville Spring, (Site 79), 517 River Road, Gaylordsville Connecticut, Outflow pipe on uphill side of road, 30 feet from cylindrical concrete spring house.

1:30 PM, Spring 2, Triple Spring, (Site 80), 199 Ives Road, Meriden CT. Commercial pay-per-gallon spring house.

1:45 PM, Spring 3, Mountain Spring, (Site 81), 1286 East Main St, Meriden CT. Commercial pay-per-gallon spring house, just west of Spoon Shop Brook

4:00 PM Arrive Battery Cottage, Washington Street, Newport RI

Friday, November 24, 2017.

8:00 AM, Have breakfast at Battery Cottage.

10:00 AM, Try (but do not succeed) to find hiking path to source area of Crystal Spring, near Battery Brook, north of Forest Avenue, Middletown RI.

10:30 AM, Spring 4, Crystal Spring, (Site 82), 1259 W Main Rd, Middletown, RI. Commercial pay-per-gallon spring house just south of RK Middletown Square Mall. Walk behind establishment and where a woods road and buried pipeline head east towards Bailey Brook.

11:00 AM, Fort Adams Bay Walk. Hike a loop around the peninsula hosting revolutionary War era Fort Adams. Find a spring on the east side. Stop in Ft Adams Visitors Center for Coffee.

1:30 PM, Spring 5, Fort Adams Spring, (Site 83), 20 Fort Adams Drive, just north of the parking lot at the park entrance, west side of road, below a playing field. The spring bubbles out of the ground and follows a stone-lined ditch about 50 feet to a drain. A small, windowless brick building, possibly a municipal spring house, is nearby.

Have dinner and stay night at Battery Cottage.

Saturday, November 25, 2017.

8:00 AM, Have breakfast at Battery Cottage.

10:00 AM Spring 6, North Stonington Spring, (Site 84), on the southeast corner of Rte. 184 where it intersects Pendleton Hill Rd (Rt. 49, in North Stonington, CT. Outflow pipe below a cylindrical concrete spring house, marked by a blue “use at your own risk” sign. The outflow was not flowing, but a steady trickle of water was emanating from gravel below the spring.

12:15 PM. Stop for lunch at a service area on Interstate 95 in Connecticut.

3:00 PM. Arrive Tappan NY.
