Carbon in Arctic Reservoirs Vulnerability Experiment (CARVE)
2012-2014
Understanding carbon reservoirs in the Alaskan Arctic:
The project is collecting detailed measurements of important greenhouse gases (CO2, CH4) on local to regional scales in the Alaskan Arctic and will ultimately provide an integrated set of data that will provide unprecedented experimental insights into Arctic carbon cycling.
CARVE is a NASA JPL led project on the C-23 Sherpa aircraft based in Fairbanks, Alaska.
I am currently working on understanding the regional CO2 and CH4 fluxes observed using this extensive dataset.
