Ground truth coordinates, seismically estimated coordinates, and identification numbers of the UNTs and shafts at MURZHIK

We know ground truth coordinates for 17 Murzhik events, namely those up to Dec 1972, from Bocharov et. al. (1989).

We still not have ground truth coordinates for nine UNTs carried out after Dec 1972.

Therefore the Table which follows is divided into two parts. In part A we list events which occurred before 1973, with ground truth coordinates; and in part B we list events carried out after Dec 1972.
Seismically determined coordinates from Lilwall and Farthing (1990) or from Khalturin, Rautian, Richards (1994, 1999) are shown for UNTs carried out since Dec 1972.

The Murzhik subarea (other names are Konustyan, Konystan, or Sary-Uzen') of STS is located at about
49.92N - 50.00N and 77.60E - 77.82E
with total area approximately 9 km x 14 km = 130 sq. km.

In the list of Murzhik UNTs we follow other authors and include two crater UNTs (#291 and #295), carried out in 1968 at the Tel'-kem site, located about 60 km away from Murzhik.

Tel'-kem site coordinates are 49.72N and 78.47E.

At the Murzhik subarea (including Tel'-kem) a total of 26 UNTs in 29 shafts were carried out during 1965-1980.

Different columns of the table show:
the identification number of the UNT,
the date,
the latitude and longitude of the shaft,
and number (or other identifier) of the shaft.

Numbering of tests and shafts are from the official Russian publication [1997].

Ground truth coordinates for 17 UNTs (from # 242 to #369) are from Bocharov et al. (1989) (an English translation is available from Vergino, 1989).
