The satellite images linked to this page are derived from digital measurements of visible and infrared optical radiance and thermal emittance acquired by the Landsat TM sensor. They were processed using RSI ENVI software on Sun workstations. Data were provided by NASA and the USGS.

The photographic images linked to this page were originally acquired on 35 mm format film.

The film based images were digitized using Olympus, Nikon, Canon, Minolta & Microtek scanners or in the Kodak PhotoCD format.

Image processing of the photographs was done using Apple Macintosh computers and Adobe Photoshop software.

Digital image manipulation of the film based images is strictly limited to minimal color correction and contrast enhancement to compensate for scan induced artifacts.
