 (1) Mud comprised the drilling mud and broken down bentonitc Chinle mudstone. |
 (2)The sticky mud gets everywhere. |
| Very
little coring was accompled today with the drillers working hard to
improve the condition of the hole. A plausible if speculative
hypothesis is that the bentonic mudstones that are abundant in the
Sonsela and underlying Chinle are particualry suseptible to swelling
and the creation of hole problems because of their shallow depth at
site 2. THis may be difficult to mitigate. |
