day was spent trying to stabilize the hole, with little success. By
late in the day the PIs in consultation with the Ruen and Doug decided
to give up at site 2a and move near by and try again at site 2b. While
it would have been great to get through the rest of Chinle at site 2a,
we did get core through what should be the Jasper Forest bed which
means we should have a section though the critical Adamanian-Revueltian
boundary, which is a major objective of core 2. |
