DENNIS V. KENT is Board of Governors Professor of Geological Sciences at Rutgers University and Adjunct Senior Research Scientist at Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory of Columbia University. His current research interests include Cenozoic and Mesozoic magnetostratigraphy and geomagnetic polarity time scales; paleoclimatology, paleogeography and tectonics of the Pangea supercontinent; paleofield intensity variations; and the magnetic recording properties of sediments, oceanic basalts, and polar ice. cv of Dennis V.
