Since 2019, I have been a lecturer at the University of Connecticut. I teach intro-level Geoscience courses geared towards non-science majors, aimed to invoke enthusiasm and interest in the subject matter. I teach courses on Dinosaurs, Natural Disasters and "the Human Epoch". Each course that I teach at the 1000-level has its own challenges and audience. Dinosaurs may speak to students that remember their childhood fascination with Dinosaurs, whereas Natural Disasters may attract students who are interested in the underlying mechanisms of awe-inspiring and traumatic events on the news, or in their own lives.

My training is in geology and sedimentology; therefore, I seize opportunity to take my students outdoors! Material taught in the classroom comes alive in the field and students tend to engage more actively with hands-on activities.
