Hotspots Partners and Sponsors
The Hotspots project was initiated by the World
Bank and Columbia
University under the umbrella of the ProVention Consortium
with funding
from the United Kingdom's Department for International Development.
Additional support for the case studies was provided by the
Norwegian
Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the U.S. Agency for International
Development. The Hotspots project benefited enormously from
interactions with the project on Reducing Disaster Risk (UNDP
2004), a collaborative effort involving the United Nations
Development Program (UNDP), the United Nations Environment
Program (UNEP) and others. More information on the Hotspots
