The ESL Image GEO193 system is an excimer laser that operates at 193nm.

The Elemental Scientific Laser (ESL) image GEO193 laser was installed in August 2025 and is primarily used with our Agilent 7900 quadrupole ICP-MS installed in May 2025 both under the direction of Dr. Terry Plank. This is our standard setup for laser ablation concentraion analyses. The laser can also be used in conjuction with our Neptune MC-ICP-MS and our Attom HR-ICP-MS for isotopic analyses.
