LDEO Seismology Project: Real Time Data Handling

This Project concerns the automated acquisition and processing of real time data recorded by globally distributed seismometers. The first objective of this project is to retrieve and manage as much as possible of the seismic data available in near real time that are useful for research, primarily for rapid earthquake analysis. The second objective is to derive and present state-of-health and data quality information for the collection of stations that are accessed as part of this project. This information can be useful for research making use of the data, and for up-to-date assessment of the quality of the seismic stations and of the performance of data distribution methods.
