In the fall of every year Lamont opens its doors to the public by hosting an "Open House". Thousands of visitors from the local area come to see just what scientists at Lamont do. Open House especially attracts students from elementary to high school by providing interactive demonstrations, exercises and displays that explain the mechanics of the earth. Each year we produce many colorful posters illustrating the use of dendrochronology in our work. These posters range in sophistication and content from those that demonstrate basic principles, to those that describe our current research projects.
Below is subset of posters we feel demonstrate basic and advanced principles of dendrochronology and are nice to look at. You are welcome to down load these posters for printing.
